Our experience working with D-Valves Ltd. on the redesign of their website is one that may resonate with many small to medium sized businesses. D-Valves had an existing website, but it was quite old. Like many other small businesses, they recognized the need to have a website but struggled to know how it could help them define themselves in their local market and in broader national and international markets. So, as with so many, the need to have a website became a necessary expense but little more. Many small businesses will commission a website just so that they can say they have a website but not because they expect it to perform for them or to help them achieve their goals. In D-Valves' case, their website was not performing for them. In fact, it wasn't even searchable because it was built in such a way that search engines couldn't read and index it.

D-Valves manufactures and refurbishes safety valves for the oil and gas sector. Alberta is often looked to as an innovator and leader in this sector which offered D-Valves an opportunity to be seen by a spherical market searching for manufacturers in Alberta.
Our focus was to design a simple website that was accessible and easy to navigate which showcased D-Valves' brand as a Canadian company in the oil and gas industry. Within weeks of launching the website, D-Valves' website went from being completely absent from search engine listings to page 1 for keywords related to safety valves in Alberta. In time, they will begin to be known for other phrases locally and internationally as well.
