Seeking Truth is a Catholic Bible Study organized out of Omaha. The more we learned about their approach to studying the Bible, the more we got the impression of an experience like travelling into the unknown on an adventure. We thought this would be a really affirming way to portray the experience, so we designed a logo around this concept. The illustration is meant to appear like the face of a compass with the cardinal directions (N, S, E, W) replaced with abbreviations for the four gospels of the New Testament. Instead of a star in the middle of the face, we used the symbol of the cross with a corpus (Jesus) symbolizing that he will guide the way as you set out for the adventure. The result was a logo concept that translated well into other materials we produced for them, including a website.
